Everything was seasoned well. I have no complaints I enjoyed everything. From the appetizers to the drinks to the lunch.

My lady and I had fish dishes, she had the Tuna, and I had Mahi Mahi. Both dishes were cooked to perfection. Green onions, mushrooms, and grilled shrimp on my Mahi were FIYA. Her spinach was delicious as well. Coleslaw was tasty, but definitely can do without the peanuts. Our waitress was excellent, and food came out quick, fresh, and hot. Definitely will be back for more.

The food and service here are both always outstanding. Their chargrilled oysters are among the best in the area. Traffic and parking can be challenging during peak hours, but it is worth the effort. Recommended

I was recommended to this place by several locals and I was definitely impressed, although it was a little pricey but the food was fabulous.

Food and flavors are amazing! Large portions yet still affordable! The only negative was the restroom.

Delicious and Fresh! We enjoyed our dinner here. The Seafood Au Gratin was so yummy! We tried the Catfish Perdu and the Shrimp, Crawfish & Crab Pasta. Service was friendly and quick! We are looking forward to our next visit & would definitely recommend!

While driving through Baton Rouge, we stopped at Parrain’s Seafood Restaurant and absolutely enjoyed all the food there. It’s a big restaurant, and their staff are quick and friendly. We started with the Sauteed Crab Fingers and couldn’t get enough! The bacon-wrapped BBQ Shrimp and Boudin Balls were incredible. The Seafood Au Gratin was outstanding. The Coleslaw with Peanuts was refreshing and perfectly balanced. The Fried Catfish Platter was huge and savory. For dessert, we had two (huge portions) pecan a la mode, yummy! I highly recommend this restaurant!

An excellent stop in baton rouge, a delicious restaurant. Its a pretty big spot, the staff were attentive and welcoming, very pleased with service from host to servers. The food was fresh and delicious. Seafood as you'd expect and other Louisiana classics. I got the whole shebang platter which is pretty much everything that's fried with a cup of gumbo. The catfish, shrimp, crawfish and hush puppies were fried perfectly, golden brown delicious. The gumbo was super flavorful and was probably my favorite thing. Would definitely come back, food was delicious, prices were super reasonable, and the staff friendly

We were craving oysters so we came to Parrain's to get our fix! These oysters are some of the best I've ever had! You can't go wrong! The bisque was creamy and delicious and the lava cake was super decadent. We will be coming back for our oyster fix!

The starters and appetizers we ordered (Cole slaw, house salad, grilled oysters) were staring down the barrel of a 2-star review... HOWEVER, the great service, cool vibe and delicious entrées saved the night! We came in on a Thursday night and - despite the bustling dining room - were seated right away. Our server was a delight, super friendly and welcoming. We ordered the grilled oysters to start and opted for the "Black Jack" version. We also put in our entrée orders and were asked to choose a starting salad. I chose the house salad and my husband chose the Cole slaw. The oysters were simply not good... I had one and did not go for another. I get it, it's not oyster season... but the accoutrements did not help in this case, in the least bit. My husband had to spit out 7 chunks of shell from a single oyster. The Cole slaw was brand and a little soggy and my salad had a sad array of wilted and brown iceberg lettuce and two grape tomatoes, which I did not bother to dive into. Things were looking bleak, despite our server's sunny disposition. Thankfully, everything changed when the entrées entered the chat... The Pontchartrain and The Atchafalaya Savory, fresh, decadent, perfectly-cooked fish with a thick hollandaise sauce. Though very similar, both dishes were equally devoured by my husband and I. I especially loved the juicy little crawfish on top of the Atchafalaya. The side of creamed spinach was DIVINE, and the perfect pairing for the fish. The dirty rice could have been a meal all its own! Just the right amount of spice... I could have eaten a whole bowl for dinner and been a very happy girl. Would I recommend this place? Yes. Would I order the oysters? No. Am I still thinking about that hollandaise sauce 6.5 hours later? Absolutely... and my mouth is watering.
